Tonight when I wanted to sit down for dinner I suddenly suffered acute back pain. I lay on the floor for 20min, unable to stand up. Now I’ve at least made it to my bed but it’s still hard to stand up.

Damn, getting old sucks.
Hey, mine’s gone out about a dozen times. First was in college; I couldn’t get up for two days. Getting to the bathroom was so much a struggle I didn’t even worry about eating.

Exercises that stretch and work out the rear of your body—not the front—are great ways to help prevent this kind of injury.

Sorry, man. Lower back pain is gawdawful. :(
I cite irreconcilable differences.

No back problems, and I don't need to do crunches... I can already pick up Nobody's Sock and throw him over a fence.......
That will definitely throw out your back! Only 230 pounds.
It might if you struggle a bit....

Klaus, I hope you feel better soon. Back pain is absolutely miserable. Ibuprofen could be your best friend for a while.

A little hard on the kidneys, but works pretty well. OTOH, he probably has access to ketoprofen and bigger guns.
