My pussycat is 7 yr old. At her annual physical, the vet said she had an inflamed tooth and gum. He wants to pull the tooth. Is it necessary to pull the tooth. |

I would get a second opinion. If you trust the vet, have an honest discussion about your cat's issues and what would happen if you don't extract. My last cat stopped eating. First vet said she needed 2 teeth pulled ($600+); second vet said her teeth were fine and wanted tests done ($110). Turns out she had cancer and we let her pass naturally. |
