Why?

Higher taxes on rich people.

That ought to cover it.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Nope. Not Obamacare. Plenty of states doing quite well under Obamacare.

Including, oddly enough, Kentucky. A red state that adopted Medicare expansion early and finds it works quite well.

HOLY CARP!!!
It’s impressive how many people opine about the ACA, without understanding what it is or what it does.

Someone complains about their high premiums and deductibles and blames the ACA without acknowledging their state officials who have chosen how to implement the various pieces of the ACA.

But, it’s also amazing how many people vote against their own self interest, so I probably shouldn’t be too surprised.

The problem is that any plan that doesn't include cost controls isn't going to work. No one likes cost controls.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Astute - this is definitely one of the issues that is driving up costs.
It’s not the biggest piece, IMO - but it’s definitely one of them.

Many conservative arguments hinge on cost, and rather than address the issues that drive up cost (no, not tort), it becomes easier to simply say that because there is cost, it is unaffordable.
