If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
..or very nearly so I think. Chloe, our summer cat, has been MIA the past couple days, which is very unlike her. MFR and I were quite worried as we have coyotes around here.

So, since she comes running when called (VERY un-catlike!) , I stood on the deck this morning and called loudly to her. Nothing, but I thought I heard her answer me once... very muffled. Then I see movement and I see her through the driver's window of my Odyssey...wait! She CAN'T be up that high on the far side of the car!

She was in my van - for the past 36 hours. In 90 degree heat. Luckily it is only in the sun an hour or so late afternoon. Must have gotten in while I was unloading groceries Wednesday afternoon. No mess in the car, but that was one thirsty cat!

She's actually lucky. I can go a week at a time without driving it.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Glad she's okay. Wow... Wife and I went on a weekend trip with some friends. Our little calico, Micky, likes to sleep in the laundry basket that's in the closet, but thinking we wanted to keep the cats out of there, we shut the closet before leaving. We came back after being gone for three days, and when I opened the closet to put my dirty clothes in the basket, Micky came running out. She yawned, stretched, and looked at us like, Where have you been? I've had a good nap! Stupid cat...
