Religious activities don't add much. Maybe it helps with the temptation to slow down.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Cycling to me feels about 2/3 of the way towards jogging, and way more energetic than walking, but I push reasonably hard, and I suck at running.

The real advantage of cycling is it doesn't destroy your knees.

The other advantage is now I can save up for a kick-ass bike. I can't think of anything associated with running that I'd actually want to buy for fun.
Cyclists just straightup have better toys than runners, it's true.

...Except for runners who are also members of the kink community.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

We had never met, but were yucking it up like [strike]the dorks were are[/strike] a couple of old friends the whole time. Probably not the right activity for everyone, but it's definitely what does it for me. A 5 mile walk is a great way to keep moving. Like John said, finding something you can enjoy is key.

MapMyRun, and Strava are fun for keeping track of workouts, the later seeming to have a much larger community of people who use the app consistently.

Good work
