I guess it's some kind of anniversary, and Mrs. George is binging on all the "Princess Diana" shows.

Oy.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

I noticed there has been an uptick in Diana miscellany.

If you're not a huge Diana fan I believe the correct thing to do is remain quiet about it.

It's almost like racism.

I don't remember the details but I believe that the queen was briefly disliked because she was not a huge enough fan.

Diana statues will never come down.

To be completely honest I never understood it.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

MFR and The Princess have been doing the same. Still dead.

Never cared for her. Much, much, too high-maintenance. Never thought she was particularly pretty, either.

Granted, Charles was is an ass, but...

In all honesty? I would have preferred Camilla too.

What? C'mon.

She probably has a nice personality, but...man!

My closeted gay friend was oddly moved by her death, and was offended that I wasn't.

I heard of her death in the midst of a 4 day party that was to culminate in a reception celebrating my marriage. We immediately began to list all the possible conspiracy theories that people would dream up, and sure enough, 20 years later, most of them have popped up.

There were a handful of English there and their response was "Meh", "Do you care?", "Doesn't matter to me if she's dead". But 2 nights later at the reception, they were a bit more somber after seeing the world's response to her death.

world event?

It was pretty big news. I was in Korea (south) at the time, and I remember it being in all the local papers, on the news, etc.
