As I've mentioned, I have the Cheddarshack® on the market (and I've accepted an offer). There's a shit-load of furniture I need to get rid of, and I can't seem to find anyone that will pick up donations of larger items. Most are in reasonable shape: desks, bookcases, beds, etc. I hate to pitch them (1-800-GOT-JUNK), of course. I've reached out to Goodwill, Salvation Army, Habitat, Amvets, and a host of other outfits in the southeastern part of Wisconsin. Thoughts? And no, not Craigslist. I'm not there enough to deal with people coming and saying "no." Edited by George K, Jul 30 2017, 01:32 PM.

Would an auction company do a household sale for you and take the stuff to their auction building? |

Talk to your real estate agent. My in-laws just sold their retirement home and downsized and had a lot of stuff to get rid of. It was either the real estate agent or a person she worked with that went through the whole house and helped make decisions - sell, give away, trash, donate. Then she had a person that could take care of each item depending on the disposition. She was very helpful. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |
