You may appreciate this, Jolly. Do you recall the 1989 regional at Texas A&M? LSU needed to play through the losers' bracket and on the final day beat a great A&M twice to go to the World Series. LSU won the first game, then the second game of the double header, LSU won . . . A&M was stunned.

I felt the match up this weeknd had a lot similarities with the 1989 regional. It seemed improbable then that LSU could win 2 in a row on the road against A&M and no one gave LSU a chance of winning back to back against the #1 ranked Oregon State team who had lost only 4 games all season.
