My carrier, Innovation Health, just notified me they will not be selling insurance in Virginia next year.

I don't know why not, I paid them a fortune for nothing.

They are missing out on a good thing.

I can't really blame them, if the feds were making me give away free condoms I wouldn't like it either.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

I would use those OB benefits while I still have them....

Karla's not on Obama care, but private Health Insurance. She is getting a 30% premium increase next month.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

In 2010, my PPO cost me $140 per month and we were bitching about the costs then. Today, I am paying $323.00 for a freaking EPO with very few choices, a $5K deductible, and 0 out of network coverage. I was told the equivalent to Our old PPO would cost us over 800 a month.

It's nice to be young.

I'm paying $1,112/ month with a $14K deductible - that's for 2 people.

And that's about the cheapest plan I can get.

11 years ago I bought the COBRA plan when I left work - $2,500 per month for 3 people.

So now I'm paying less than that.

Jesus...

That's highway robbery. $27,344 out of pocket before insurance pays a dime and they call that insurance? For who?

What a screwed up mess.

Give it a rest, Ax.

Your cheerleading on this, falls on deaf ears.

It's advocacy for a proven solution, man. For you sake, for mine, and for all our progenies, single payer universal healthcare needs to be advocated. Besides, I don't see you coming up with a better solution.

Not my job to come up with a better solution.

That's what I pay my taxes for.

If I wanted to solve this, I'd run for office.

These prices are not the result of not enough government.

Copper, I feel your pain.

In 2016, I paid nearly $30,000 out of pocket for health care, all total.

Was this scheme designed by the mafia or via legislation?

It really sux to be middle class these days.
