Just went out to lunch with a couple of customers. I was just about to tuck into the scram, when one of them instructed the other one to say grace. I narrowly missed embarrassing myself.

Never seen that before in a business context.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

Where are they from? Sounds like the southern or mid-western states.

Never seen that before in a business context.

It depends on whether you are buying or selling.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Even for a business lunch? I know people who say Grace at home, my in-laws do, but I've never seen it like this before.

Any meal.

I'm not saying it's everybody, or even a majority. But it's more than 25%.

What do religious people do when they say Grace thanking God for his bounteous wisdom and generosity and then are unfortunate enough to get food poisoning? Not just any old food poisoning, but shellfish food poisoning, the kind where it's only the hope that you'll die that keeps you alive.

Do you thank him for that too, or do you say 'God moves in mysterious ways, and now so do my bowels'?
