I was in middle school when this series ran.

It was very influential, to us young boys. We would be able to quote lines from the show. Teacher would ask a question, answer (if you didn't know the answer) would be along the lines of, "Is it not better..." then fill in the rest with something funny.

Violence is the last resort, but being able to defend yourself and others was essential.

Great show!

Now it would be, "hey, old man, get the F**k out of my way, your ideas are old fashioned. Sorry you are blind sight challenged, here's some food stamps to show what respect we have for you, before you die."

Geez, am I bitter this morning, or what? ;)

Bitterness is the emotional province of those who happen not to belong to the oppressor class, Rainman. If you must appropriate the emotions of other cultures from your limited oppressor perspective then please do it elsewhere. Whe are inclusive and respectful of all cultures here and I will not allow you to parade your cheap immitation bitterness as if it were a real emotion you were actually capable of feeling. It cheapens the experiences and lives of those who happen not to look exactly like you. Those whose lives, unbeknownst to you, actually matter.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?
