HOLY CARP!!!

Reminds me of a running joke we had in school. Our school had an exchange program with a school in the US. When the pupils from the US came here, there was often an organized trip to the former concentration camp in Bergen-Belsen. It had become almost a cliche that when you'd ask the American pupils about that trip, many would say "It was fun!".

Many critics found that the words rang adolescent.

It's time to update the meaning of adolescent.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy
