Doesn't make sense, considering that most people are right-handed, thus will be more comfortable manipulating the phone with the right hand while dining.

But Americans eat with their fork in their wrongright hand, and they hate to "waste" time on eating, hence it makes perfect sense for Americans to hold the phone in the left while continuing to eat with the right.

We need app to tell us what the optimal placement of the phone is, relative to dining implements, in polite company.

Aim your phone's camera at the your place at the table, the app's AI backend will analyze the situation and indicate on the screen the ideal placement for your phone.

I need 5x $million as seed money to start R&D for that app. Who wants in?

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Ax is wrong. I'm now eating and I see that u reach with your right hand to phone which is situated to the left of the plate. Which is more natural than keeping it on the right side which is less confortable.
U don't want to elbow the boobs of the lady next to u.

The left boob would be forgivable.
The right one would be a gross violation of etiquette.

Assuming we discuss the lady to your right.
If u r elbowing the boob sitting opposite u, something is definitely amiss

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Yes, that is a great idea. Every restaurant should provide this for every seat of every table. :thumb:

A couple of months ago I was trying to have a nice, relaxed dinner at a restaurant, but couldn't because every ten seconds someone's phone would go off. The final straw was the guy talking into his bluetooth, apparently of the opinion that if he didn't yell they couldn't hear him.

I was still able to keep quiet until a second person began talking loudly into his bluetooth at the same time, and about 5 phones rang all at once - two people yelling into their earpieces, 5 phones ringing.....

I stood up and yelled "Shut those damned phones off or get outside!"

Several people applauded.
