Also, from ABC: "A slim point separates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in the latest ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll results, cementing Trump's resurgence in the past week and marking the potentially critical role of turnout in the election's outcome. The race stands at 46-45 percent, Clinton-Trump, in the latest results, so tight that the draw by third-party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein could matter." Think carefully about what you want to see happen. |

Yes, but I was addressing the third-party favorers, that they should decide which of the two majors they least want to see elected, and how their third-party choice could cause that very thing to happen. This is what I meant when I said we can't afford a third-party presence this time. |

Might be. One of the things they didn't show on social media, was the enormous amount of searches being done on google right now, searching to see if one can change their early vote. I think there's some buyer's remorse out there.... |

Aren't you planning on not voting? I think we can all agree that's much worse than voting third party. |

In the US voting third party is a viable way a registering a protest vote. More effective than spoiling your ballot because it is counted. Thinking otherwise is falling prey to the fallacy that your vote is wasted. That falsehood is precisely what enables the status quo of the two party system to sustain itself unchallenged. |

That was an option I contemplated early on, yes. But I've since changed my mind. We each must make up our own mind. It's just that this time, a vote for a third-party guy could have greater ramifications than as merely a protest vote, because the two majors are so close together. This, solely as a reminder and not as any kind of instruction as to how to vote. ![]() |

True, if you really hate one of the big 2, I understand a "lesser of 2 evils" vote. But if you hate them both equally, vote for who you really prefer for prez, even if they have no chance. |

I see that I didn't phrase that quite the way I intended. When I wrote "we can't afford a third-party presence at this time", that was me writing too fast, due to wanting to get outside in this beautiful weather. I meant to write, "depending on the outcome you want, you should consider the influence a third-party vote could have on the outcome, given how close the two majors are in the polls. That if it's big enough, it could kick the worst of the two, in your mind, into office. |

Whatever fear anybody feels over this election, is low-grade. Except for the crazy nutzos among us. By which I mean Hitlary voters. I bet they're afraid. Terrified. Cold sweats. |

I get all trolly election time, this one more than every other so far. Normal, intelligent, adjusted people are using Hitler analogies with Trump, and somehow HRC is a devil too. But I don't actually believe you're against women's suffrage. They should have plenty of time between cooking dinner and vacuuming the floor, to pull some lever. |
