This is tough situation. Maybe things were done wrong on both sides. I read somewhere (maybe here?? :)) that alot of people are faking the need for a service animal so that they can have it travel with them free, instead of paying to ship it.

Another thing I was thinking - on some regional jets I have been on, they are very small. And that dog look pretty big. I could see where maybe the dog would have to sit in the hall of the plane, which could be a safety issue (or even a problem is someone wants to go down the hall to use the bathroom.
