If this be the case: http://boston.cbslocal.com/2016/10/27/nfl-ratings-national-anthem-protests-poll/ Mr. Kapernick is within his rights, as are the folks that support him. But....the NFL lives on tv money. If the ratings go down, the money goes down. And since the league each year readjusts the salary cap, less revenue means less money to pay players with. A lot of those guys, Mr. Kapernick included, make an obscene amount of money. Keep the league minimum where it is, and let the teams work with a lowered salary cap. As aging, overpaid players get cut, right and left, I'm sure more than a little peer pressure will be brought to bear. |

I don't think he's necessarily within his rIghts. He's a paid entertainer, the people who pay entertainers are well within their rights to encourage or prohibit certain behaviors that effect their economic interests. |
