$0.70 in 1972 is the same as $4.05 today.

Today a quarter pounder with cheese is $3.79.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

I remember $0.15 hamburgers, $0.28 is getting kind of pricey.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Most recent Filet-O-Fish promotion is TWO (2) for $2.50.
Pretty sure that's below the 1972 price if adjusted for inflation.

1972 price would be 43¢.

I assume the price on the menu from 1972 is for one.

I worked at a McDonald's when I was in high school. The one that I worked at had a secret menu item that's not shown on the menu board. I don't know if it's still available and whether other McDonald’s restaurants carried it. A "TC" was the code name that stands for a toasted cheese sandwich. When a cashier called out a TC order to the kitchen, they had to say "TC" and not "Toasted Cheese". This was because the manager didn't want other customers to know that toasted cheese sandwiches were available. Plenty of people knew about it though because every day at least one person would order one.

A TC consists of two slices of cheese placed between an inverted hamburger bun. A bun toaster was used to flatten the bun and melt the cheese. The price was the same as a hamburger.

Probably unique to that franchise.

Stuff like that does happen...a friend of mine who used to be a regional manager for BK, had a couple of items at different franchises that were franchise specific. One of them was a four patty cheeseburger made on their long chicken sandwich bun. It was known as the Manager's Special.

Grilled cheese is a menu item here. On the new touch screen self order things it's an option.

It's two of the middle buns from a Big Mac with cheese. I think it's $1.29 or so.
