Here you go, Rainman http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-37561065 I must admit, I'm not entirely sure what UKIP's main policies are now that the UK is leaving the EU. Maybe they'll campaign for Britain to become the 51st State, and vote to install Il Douche as President for Life. |

Nigel is certainly a charismatic man, always charming and clear in what he thinks, whether you agree with him or not. I read that he is over here, trying to help Trump prepare for the next debate. Good luck with that. MEP's make out like bandits. I have no idea what UKIP leader makes. Not sure if pay has anything to do with it, but other than Nigel, they do seem to be rather dearth of leadership. |

It's not illegal if you can upset the Daily Mail. In fact, you can frequently get a prize. |

Incidentally, this guy isn't an actual extremist. It's satire, although admittedly not very funny, which the Daily Mail appears to have missed, and not for the first time. Back when I was a lad they thought the Beastie Boys were a threat to everything that was right in the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Zebabist_Nation_of_Ooog |

Really John? This is "satire...not funny...which the Daily Mail appears to have missed..." Well, take a look. Seems like a nut, and an extremist nut at that: |

You don't think the Nation of Ooog might just be taking the piss? He calls himself Earthly Leader of the Afro-Thanetian Zaliphate. Take a look here: https://prophetzebadiah.wordpress.com/ Nation of Nadir Al Pan'ah Sonic ring any bells? |

There's more here: https://www.rt.com/uk/260141-nation-ooog-thanet-election/ Nobody ever said the British sense of humour wasn't a bit odd, although admittedly we've got some way to go before we can better the satire that is Donald Trump's election campaign. |

Yup. This guy's a riot. And no, I don't think this is some sort of "British sense of humor." When I think of "British sense of humour" I think of the quips you make, the use of wit, plays on words, sarcasm, etc. This guy is a nut. I don't think I'd find much to laugh at in regards to a burning baby. And the scenes of chopping off (Farage) head, well gee, I guess I missed the funny in that as well. |

I didn't say I though it was funny, I said he wasn't a genuine extremist. There's more to British humour than raised eyebrows and Roger Moore one-liners. Some of it doesn't translate at all well over here, and can get rather nasty. I think this guy's gone way too far, but he's not an actual religious extremist. If anything, he's setting himself for a bit of trouble from the real thing. |

Could he be arrested in the U.K. for hate speech? Of course I'm not familiar with British law, but I thought it was somewhat like here, where a threat to a protected person of a certain defined group, or, a threat against a political figure, would have consequences. Is he popular IOW, do lots of young people in the U.K. know who he is, like one of the popular rappers here? |

No, I don't think he's well known, which is why the Daily Mail didn't pick up on it. He ran against Nigel Farage in the last election, and got 30 votes. I'd heard of him, but needed to Google him for details. As to hate speech, yes he could get arrested, which is possibly why he's doing what he's doing. When they passed the hate speech laws a few years ago, a number of comedians, including Rowan Atkinson, pointed out a concern that comedians could be arrested for making jokes about religion. Americans might not realise this, but there were still laws against blasphemy until 2008 in the UK, however they only applied to Christianity. Monty Python's The Life of Brian was banned in parts of the UK (and completely in the Republic of Ireland) because it was held by some to be blasphemous. |

Thanks, John. Can't imagine what makes a guy like that tick. He obviously spends an inordinate amount of time, making videos and writing his prose. I don't think I could ever understand. |

Maybe he's hoping to be the British Joaquin Phoenix, or maybe he want to make a point about the media. I think he's won a little battle by getting featured like that in the Daily Mail. |
