Had my other bike stolen last month so went out and got me a new one. I love it. It glides like the wind. Brand new 2017 Trek FX3 Hybrid.

Very nice, man! :thumb: Always been a fan of the FX series. Carbon fork, Shimano & Bontrager components—everything you need. Heck they event have ANT+ and bluetooth hookups these days so if you wanna get techy, you can.

You on Strava?

Boy, you sure know your bikes!

Yeah, they did away with 7.3fx , 7.4fx, etc. It's now FX3. I get the carbon fork which I can already feel the difference. My stolen bike was a trek 7.3. I love how the cabling goes through the tubes now. Haven't got techy yet. Not on strava. I did buy all the other essential necessities, patch kit, lights, helmet, and the 5 year extended warranty that cost only a c note. Best part was financing 12 months no interest.

I started out shopping, determined to finally break the bank and get a road bike. Had my eye on the Trek Emonda ALR5, but in the end, I knew the hybrid was a better deal for what I do. A lot cheaper too!

not too many trails. Not a bike friendly city Fresno is. Not yet. They are working on it though.

And flat flat flat! No hills in the valley. I like it!

Used to work in a shop, y0. The Trek FX was instrumental in keeping the lights on. ^_^ They're good bikes, too.

Yeah, man, use what ya need! You can always put droppies on that FX if you ever feel like it. Might need to get new shifters along with that, but you're talking like $150 tops.

Also, do your bike a really big favor if you can: store him inside. Increases your anti-theft protection by about a thousand, and keeps the humidity and the rain away from your componentry. Indoor storage usually increases the life of your bike by many years.

I'm feeling good as one can thanks! 3 months out now. I feel like I have a metal plate on my collar bone. But it doesn't hurt or annoy me, it's just There!

Ribs are doing much better, I don't wince at all getting out of bed.

Going to do another cat scan in a month to see if the fluid in my plueral cavity has dissipated some.

Going to the gym daily, got to rebuild myself up for the next car that wants to get totaled hitting me. Lol!

Nice.

Bikes have become sort of the the next most common religion after Judaism here.

They are everywhere. Mountain. Road. City. Folding. Electric. If it has two wheels u r going to see it here everywhere.

ok, what are droppies?

And I am already ahead of you. No garage for this bike. It lives in my bedroom.

Drop handlebars, like you'd see on road bikes. Very easy swap.

Nice ride :D I guess I didn't realize you were in Fresno. My old stomping grounds; I grew up there all through my school years. Yep, lots of flat but glad to hear they are working on making it more bike friendly.

It's kinda hairy riding in this town. Drivers are so unaware.
