No, the GOP just have to not stand in the way of the Democrats fixing it. For example, don't filibuster in the Senate, just abstain from voting in the House and let the Democrats own the whole thing.

And it is hated by everyone, every republican, every democrat and every independent.

Why in the world would the GOP want to stand aside and let the Democrats do anything to save this clusterf*ck that was shoved down the country's throat? See, hardball politics is a two-edged sword. I know a lot of people who are getting hurt by Obamacare. But you know what? Let the Dems have their way and all they will do is make it easier for those who aren't paying anyway, not those that are.

And btw, Copper, ever since a republican completely took gold out of the equation, which would actually work to keep the money supply in check, everyone has had an infinite supply of money.

Once we can eliminate all manual, and menial labor, through the use of automation, invent the replicator and transporter, then, and only then, can we have a cashless society, as envisioned in Star Trek.

Health care should be universal, and, in my opinion, a right, guaranteed by the constitution. It should be nationalized and paid for by our existing taxes. For how can one have any of the tenets outlined in the Declaration of Independence, without first having health?

This is it, right here. On the most basic, fundamental level.

What should a government provide? What's its role? Conveniently, ours made it explicit:

Yes, there's a cost factor, and that's important. We can't afford to pay for every social program that comes along. But we're not talking about the details of what the government can afford or should provide, we have people in America who want absolutely zero health programs to be provided. It's insane.

It's the most basic thing. Liberals should like it because it's government stepping in and making the world the better place or whatever. Conservatives should like it because health programs paid for by income taxes would considerably lessen their financial burden to provide health coverage, and it's the government stepping in and subsidizing their company's human resources. It would keep people healthy, able to work, and off welfare.

If it's an important enough program, then it becomes part of the budget and ancillary programs not listed in the Constitution's preamble should go. There is no cost issue when talking about whether or not we should have something at all so what the fuck is the debate even about.
