At least she isn't a porn star.

Having sex on a tv show does not qualify one as a porn star.

But I do think she's now on Hillary's campaign staff...

What do you Trump-supporting/leaning folks feel about this? Who among you actually think it's a good idea for the Trump camp to attack the former beauty queen?

This is why you shouldn't get your information from the InfoWar of the Left.

Trump never attacked the woman. The claim was made that Trump had her fired from the beauty pageant because she was fat. The claim is a lie. Trump only met the woman once, for a few minutes, after she had won. Several months into her term as Miss Whatever it was, the pageant management decided to fire her because she had gained a whopping 60 pounds. All the news media that are now piling on Trump saying he called her fat.... called her fat in their news coverage of the issue at the time. Trump on the other hand, never called her fat - he told his management team running the pageant he wanted to give her time to lose the weight.

Next, whether the left likes it or not, the judge in this woman's boyfriends trial is on the record stating that Machado DID drive the getaway car, and that she DID threaten to kill the judge.

Not only that, but it turns out that she married a drug lord from Spain and had a baby with him, opening Clinton up to criticism for her position on immigration and the vetting of applicants for citizenship.

So in a nutshell, Trump is guilty of nothing more than trying to save the woman's title for her, Clinton and her campaign team are guilty of spreading yet another lie to smear Trump.

Reading comprehension fail, Larry. I asked whether you think it's wise for the Trump camp to attack the beauty queen.

Even then, this statement of yours, that "Trump is guilty of nothing more than trying to save the woman's title for her," is also flatly false. Trump is also guilty of insulting and demeaning her by calling her "Miss Piggy" and "Miss Housekeeping," not to mention stiffing her on the 10% on the commercials she did that are due her by contract.

Check out Trump's latest attack on Machado ...
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-alicia-machado_us_57ee3401e4b082aad9baa8f6

In his Tweets, Trump says that Machado has a "terrible" past, calling her "disgusting," and inviting people to check out her sex tape.

Now, that last thing about Trump as a major party Presidential nominee telling his followers to check out a former beauty queen's sex tape ... let's see if Larry can spin that into Trump magnanimously drumming up popular attention for Ms. Machado.

This has to do with how some one who aspires to be the next President of the United States views, treats, and publicly talks about half of the nation's population -- the women.

For those who would like to bring up Bill Clinton's or may be even Jack Kennedy's past dalliances as precedents, go ahead and also tell us you pine for a repeat of the Clinton Presidency or even the Kennedy Presidency while you're at it.

Trump's public statements on women are what allow the Hillary Clinton campaign to cut an ad like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHGPbl-werw

There are so many other things that Donald Trump and his campaign could make waves with ... jobs/economy, national deficit/debt, border security ... yet they take their eyes off those to do what? Tussle with a former beauty queen.

I think people are worried he might be elected President of the United States. Admittedly, it's looking like a long shot, but I reckon it could still happen.

I'm starting to worry that if he is not elected, just what sort of loon his constituency is going to nominate to run in four years time?

He reminds me of Aqua, sitting in a dorm room, getting frustrated by the simplistic nonsense he's hearing, and then he ends his silence and launches into a tirade.

I don't think Aqua likes Paul Watson at all.

But my imagined depiction of how Aqua is in terms of delivery, is meant as a compliment.

The problem with a grown man attacking a 17 year old girl is that no matter how bad the girl is--it still looks like a grown man attacking a 17 year old girl. It is not about the facts, but the perception of the facts. Millions of Americans will see the Hillary ad and nobody's going to sit through that Aqua diatribe video.

This is just not a battle the grown man can ever win.

Tom's right. Even if she wasn't 17, there's no way that this doesn't help Hillary. It's another "attack on women," and it'll be perceived as such.

However, on another tack, if Hillary's campaign now decides it's fair game to resurrect anti-women statements from 20 years ago, well....

The problem you're having is that you've built your entire viewpoint on lies.

Trump never called her miss piggy. He never called her miss housekeeping. And he never attacked her until AFTER he himself had been attacked by both her and Hillary Clinton using the very lies you have so blindly accepted as fact.

So yes, reading comprehension matters. You should learn to use it. Let's start by you providing even a single bit of evidence that prior to the claims being made by Hillary and this woman, Trump himself had said either one of those things about her.

You can't, because he never said them.
