Well, the busiest highway in North America is the 401 in Ontario which goes through all of Southern Ontario from the Michigan border to the Quebec border. At its widest section through Toronto, it is something like 16 lanes. |

Our first experience of driving in North America was hitting the 16-lane 401 out of Toronto, in this tiny little rental car, with horrible jetlag. The weird thing is that if you drive 2 hours in any direction, you're in the middle of nowhere. |
