Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Thanks. It's today and tomorrow. We left at 1:30. We're at my sister's place outside of DC. Home in the morning.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Not a bad guess, but I was just busy. I kept internet on at the house so I would have access to a couple of security cameras I had placed in the home. Also I originally thought I would be gone just a couple of months so turning it off wasn't going to save much.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Anyway it's great being back. Lots of stuff to do. Managed to get the boy enrolled in school yesterday afternoon after we got back. But it was so late they didn't have time to inform the bus people so we're driving him for a few days.

Rachel cleaned every square inch of the kitchen, including running every dish, glass, and utensil through the dishwasher. There's something about using things that have been sitting over a year...

Rachel also gave a quick sweep and vacuum to the whole house. As she put it, 'it's not perfectly clean, but at least the spiders know we're back'.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

That's just wonderful to read. Rachel's line about the spiders was funnier than hell.
