I think I was on attack #4. Had the surgical consult. He gave the advice to show up in Emerg in the midst of the next one, let them dope me up, deny the drugs were killing the pain & then I'd get the operation. So this is what I did. I called a neighbor for a ride; sat 6 hrs in the wait room, then 6 on a stretcher. I think I was 40. Anyway, about 20hrs postop I discharged myself, took a cab home, had a day off, did Codeine for a week, then removed my own sutures (or staples; I forget.. I've removed staples on myself too). Was driving around, doing the mama thing within a week. Not much down time with a husband working 24/7 and no child care. Good luck Aqua! Good thoughts. Saying prayers.

Fan. Tas. Tic. Glad you're done. You will be sore (a lot) today and tonight. Tomorrow will be better. By the end of the week, it'll be a nothing. I'll raise one for you. |

Wow. I cannot believe you are already out of surgery, and that you are already posting here. So great to know you are done with this. You suffered more than enough. Do you get ice cream? I think everyone should after surgery.

We've had two members, within days of each other, have their gallbladders removed. Amazing. What's more amazing is that they both posted within hours of leaving the OR. When can you return to work? Edited by George K, Sep 6 2016, 04:59 PM.
