The answer is that both Obama and Bush are/were pretty bad Presidents. They are more similar than dissimilar. |

Soery Tom, but the "blame Bush" game won't work any more, particulary in this instance. |

WMD's I don't think they were there, do you? [edit] unless you want to go the "incompetence" route. Which I grant you--may have bee the case. Either way we went to war for bad reasons. Edited by TomK, Aug 20 2016, 02:44 PM.

No, I understand. Can you cite a source (other than Michael Moore) that he says "he lied." Even the Bob Woodward said that's not true. If you believe that Bush lied, then you have to say that Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Bill Clinton, John Kerry, Tom Daschle and Robert Byrd lied. Oh, and Bernie Sanders too. Being wrong ≠ Lying. Edit to respond to your edit. You moved the goalpost from deceit to incompetence. Nice move there. Edited by George K, Aug 20 2016, 02:49 PM.

Yes I did moved the goalpost. And it was a trite post to begin with. Either way the United States of America went to war for no reason other than the bad decision of George Bush. And either way is unacceptable. Hundreds of thousands of people died because of Bush's wrong decision. If he didn't know the correct answer for sure--and he went to war, without being 100% sure--though he through Colin Powell assured the American people and the world that he was 100% sure. Well he fudged. And that was a lie. you either know something is correct or you don't. And Bush did not know for certain if Iraq had WMDs. To say that Bush went to war because he relied on wrong info doesn't actually work--he wasn't a order taker at McDonalds that gave you fries when you order a Coke. [edit] So you agree that Bush was at the least incompetent, right? Edited by TomK, Aug 20 2016, 03:03 PM.

Not to go down the Iraq rabbit-hole, just remember that the Democratic candidate for POTUS voted in favor of it, and her husband supported it as well. If you condemn him, you condemn her. Edit to add: you have a false choice there. To say something which is not correct is not a lie. Again, if you can prove that "he fudged," we can have a conversation. Can you do that? They were fed wrong info by the Bush White House and the Bush State Department. I will back off from the "Bush lied" if you will admit to at least "Bush incompetence." I And I am unfortunately in the beginning of a small dinner party so if you will be so kind--we can resume this later. |

The msm crucified Mr. Bush for doing the right thing after waiting a few hours. The msm applauds Mr. Obama for doing nothing. Shocking. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

I don't think that was Tom's party, I think he was just quoting the president's response to the people devastated by the floods. |
