They just found another way.

This is an Olympic training facility - not meant for middle of the night joy rides.

Actually, something similar happened last year not far from my place. A 25 year old guy was also trying a boblsed at night with two buddies and died when he crashed into a service vehicle that was parked on the bobsled track.

Maybe this is more common than we think. I can certainly see how the idea of doing this would be enticing.

I wouldn't have come up with the idea, but that doesn't say much about me, one way or the other. Probably wouldn't have said "yes" if I'd seen the death on the bobsled in the previous Olypmics, can't remember which one. Somebody got thrown off their sled on a turn, and hit a hard place.
