This winter, The Gangway, the oldest gay bar in town, is closing down. “When you lose the geographic concentration, you lose a lot,” Jones said. “We lose the cultural vitality, the political power – you also lose the specialized social services.”

The existence of justice warriors on an outrage crusade doesn't negate the fact that some people flat out discriminate against gays. And not every social cause is righteous just because there happens to be bigots in the world.
