Just made a pot of Tom K Tom Kha Goong soup with shrimp. Delicious. Thai broth, red pepper, carrots, mushrooms and cilantro with coconut milk, crushed red peppers, lime juice and shrimp. Amazingly good.

That's not Thai food, that's more Korean.

I love Thai food, incidentally, but I've never tried cooking it.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

If there was chicken in the broth, your theory will have been debunked!
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Common usage precludes chicken broth from being referred to as "gai".

Just figure it's information that a foodie who loves Thai food could use.
You're welcome. :)

A good thing if true, since I do not believe I would enjoy chicken broth on my face. :)

Ax and I shared a meal together with Big John and my wife at a Thai/Cambodian restaurant near where I work. This was the day after the piano party that Rosemary Two organized at Trombino's Steinway Gallery It's a favorite restaurant of mine, but I've never tried cooking Thai food. There are several Thai restaurants that I've tried. One very good one, now gone, was just a couple blocks from where my wife used to work in downtown Pittsburgh.

Who's yer friend?

I used lots of crushed red pepper, and it would benefit from some galangal if you have it.

Spicy Bolivian Chicken is better still the third day. Next time I will use a natural peanut butter. This time all I had was MFR's Peter Pan. It lent a sweet taste to it that it does not need.

Glad to hear you think that, too. That's why we love it. It gets better and better. Even after the third and final meal from this batch, hubby said he hopes we can have it again soon. It's addictive, and gets spicier every day.
