I get to be a paid crazy cat lady!  I gave my notice at the current job today. It went ok, but now I just don't want to go back. It's going to be a long 2 weeks. |

I'm going to work at a cat hospital with a bunch of super awesome ladies. They're all nice and down-to-earth. The doctors don't have big egos, which is appreciated. I'll be an assistant, so I will eventually be giving some vaccinations and doing blood draws. I'll start out taking patients' vitals and talking to clients before a doctor does the exam. I'll learn reception duties too. I'll be working one weekend a month taking care of the cats who are boarding. But 3 weekends off! Yes! I'll be learning a lot, it will be more of a career, they already ok'd a trip to England this summer. Paid time off. Only 9 minutes from home. Exciting stuff. I'll be taking a pay decrease at first, but not by much and not for long. They offer health benefits, but I'll probably go through Affordable Healthcare because, well, it's more affordable. |

 One of the things a now-former boss said after somebody quit was "after all the fucking things we've done for you here!" This is the same woman who decided not to pay people for the work they've done when it suited her. She "lost" invoices and filed away paychecks that should have been mailed out. This is completely unrelated I'm sure but she's also a Republican who believes that as a small business owner, she's a more contributing citizen than the rest of us. Completely unrelated. Even though her husband pulled the exact same shit. And two of her business partners. |
