I just watched a movie about these two on Netflix called 'Best of Enemies'. They should have named it "Hey Wankers, Get a Room!". What an annoying couple of blokes. I initially thought Vidal was a major league tosser, then Buckley came on. Jesus. OK, that is all. |

Saw that a couple of weeks ago. Have to agree, they both came across as a-holes in the film. I don't know which one was the bigger, however. Seemed to me that Vidal came out looking worse in the beginning of the movie, with more ad-hominems and insults to Buckley, but then the "stay plastered" remark by Buckley made him look horrible. Interesting to see his remorse for saying that. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |
