he Fox Business Network on Monday announced the seven Republican candidates they have invited to their primetime debate in South Carolina — and Rand Paul and Carly Fiorina didn’t make the cut this time.

During his show Monday evening, host Lou Dobbs said those who will have podiums on the main stage are Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush and John Kasich. The primetime debate at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center in North Charleston is set for 9 p.m. EST on Thursday.

The four other candidates who didn’t qualify for the main stage — Paul, Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum — are being invited to participate in an undercard debate, set for earlier that evening at 6 p.m. EST.

Paul is suggesting he will not participate in an undercard debate, saying he deserves to be on the main stage

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

I know they're looking at more than just Iowa, but considering this is the last debate before they vote it seems the most important.

If you look here, the natural cutoff seems right after Paul:

Hard to believe that Carson hasn't dropped out.

His campaign is a clever grift but it's become blatantly obvious that's all that it is.

Do you have any evidence that it was a con?

He took a long break from campaigning to pitch his book. No serious candidate would ever do that.

The guy is not serious, which is not a big deal because he doesn't have a prayer.

Grift means con, cheat, deceive, particularly in the pursuit of money.

Do you have any evidence that that's the case, or are you just making things up about someone whom you don't like?

Do you feel the same way about O'Malley, who has polled even worse than Carson?

That's a non-answer. During campaign season you can't swing a cat by the tail and not hit a candidate who's written a book.

Do you think that Carson is playing the game for monetary gain?

Simple yes or no. If yes, please support. If no, then, that's OK.

Yup, but I admit I can only speculate based on what I have seen.

1. From his debate performance I can see he has put no time in to learning any of the things a person needs to know to be President - foreign policy, trade, environment, tax policy, etc. are all foreign concepts to him, despite ample time to learn what he needs to know and ample funding to hire the right people to bring him up to speed.

2. He really did take time of from campaigning to pitch his book. He just doesn't want the job badly enough to put much effort in to it.

3. He puts forth wild and crazy theories that he knows full well will alienate the electorate and he doesn't care - like "Joseph built the pyramids".

The dude is not stupid. He's just not serious.

So, because his preparation for debates doesn't meet the standards that you require, and because he took time off to pitch a book, and because he has theories with which you disagree, he's a con man.

I'm not saying that I agree with his theories, and I'm not saying he's qualified (he's not).

I'm saying that he's not a criminal. That's what you're accusing him of.

That would certainly be more natural than the cutoff right after JEB!, yet the host cuts off after Kasich, who polls even lower than Paul if we go by RCP average.
