Are you going to the game? I'm surprised how many tickets are left and what a low price. If I didn't have to work, I'd go with Karla and Luke.

There is all kinds of bad Deja Vu all the way around for this game. Cincinnatti hosting Steelers and without their All-Pro QB but still with a capable back up (sound familiar).

Pittsburgh going into the playoff game without their number one or number two running backs and essentially dressing some guys that were moving furniture last week. Whatever happens, I think this has the potential to be the best game not just of the weekend but of the entire playoffs. I think both teams are just going to be throwing metaphorical haymakers the entire game.

It should be interesting.

The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

No, I think we will be watching on the tube. M&Ms and Luke will be there, right?

It will be interesting. As long as Brown stays healthy on your side you should be OK, and he's tough. McCarron has been in very big games before so I don't think this phases him one bit. He has a bright future as a franchise player. We have most of our receiver corps, Bernard and Hill are healthy.

I think it will be smashmouth ball from kickoff to the last whistle.

Yep, Karla and Luke will be sitting in section 136 about 20 rows back. Luke will be fully decked out in Steeler gear.

So are you saying that you see McCarron as replacing Dalton on a permanent basis?

Not yet. I just think the guy has a bright future. He also has big game experience and I have not seen him get rattled at all. Great command of the team.

HOLY CARP!!!
We'll see. McCarron is cocky but that may not survive a full season of getting pounded by NFL-caliber defenses. Look what happened to Kaepernick.
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

I think mccarron is better. Frankly, playing for Alabama > playing for Nevada.

I would be a little concerned with his relaxed attitude this week.

Actually, McCarron played and conducted himself well.

The Bengals and their fans... not so much.

What did it feel like on the front lines, LD? Aside from wet?

There is a lot of history there, it was not a spontaneous thing. The last time we played even Boomer Esiason was saying the Steelers were deliberately trying to injure Bengals. Burfict got called, but deliberate helmet to helmet against Bernard did not. All in all an ugly game.

Yes, both sides could have showed more class and sportsmanship. But the Bengals' meltdown towards the end of the game was unreal. Lewis had absolutely no control.

Luke enjoyed it, and they didn't have any problems directly, but they did see other problems.

I'm glad he did not experience any. I wondered about that last night. But M&Ms would have cut off their... oh, never mind, you know what I mean.
