We're driving to Centre, Alabama. Karla's dad recently moved there. We'll be visiting for three days. I was wondering what we would be doing for all three days until I saw this picture online:

I'm going to England. How messed up is that?

I have to travel with work, so I figured I'd fly out on Wednesday night, get to spend 2 days and 2 weekends with my mum, work for a week, and lose no vacation.

I'm very disappointed to be missing turkey day as it's my favourite holiday, but seeing my mum is good, and this way I spend more time with Mrs. D'Oh and the kids at Christmas.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

D4 is spending TG with her boyfriend's family, and I'm (!) working on Friday, so we're going to do Turkey on Saturday.

Safe travels, John.

Some relatives are coming for a couple days. For the first time in 27 years I'll be home for Thanksgiving.

Not much this year. The church had the annual pig roast Saturday. Sunday, both of my kids were home, so roast beast and turkey complete with trimmings were had by all.

My wife is in Shanghai until early January so I am not doing much this year for any holiday.

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

Thanks for the offer!

The weather looks to be real iffy for travel to Chicago, however.

A tempting offer but I will not be able to clear some other things from my schedule. Like I would need to board the birds. It does look like a nice way to take a trip to Chicago and I may avail myself (and my wife) of that in the future.
