If the press doesn't report it, it didn't happen. If there are a few thousand people that know about something, it isn't a problem for the government. Look at the issue of the Kennedy killing in the US. Almost nobody believes the official story but the press keeps trumpeting the official story. It doesn't seem to be a problem for the government; what the people think doesn't matter. They can't do anything. Do a youtube search on "Chomsky media" to see how the press cooperates with the government and big companies. |

Well there is the fact that when Titanic was sending out their CQD (and the first SOS) the Olympic actually answered from 400 miles away. There are copies of the wireless messages. Olympic was one of the ships with the more powerful Marconi radios and could hear Tiatnic calling for help. |

This doesn't prove that the "Olympic" to which you refer wasn't the titanic with the name "Olympic" on it. Here's a link to a thread I started on a Titanic forum. Check out post #32. http://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/forums/collision-sinking-theories/35042-video-evidence-titanic-sunk-purpose.html Edited by Cosmored, Aug 5 2015, 11:05 AM.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

The video has a better answer. It says that thousands of disinterested people didn't know the secret. It was known only to a small well motivated crew who performed the switch. |

That is what the video says. But what it's really addressing is the mechanics of switching the visible labeling on the ships. They are saying that there wasn't much labeling so it wouldn't take many people to switch it. Even still, there were thousands of people working in the port every day, including on those ships. Along with switching the labeling, they would have to switch the actual positions of the ships. That would mean taking them both out of port and back in, at the same time. That is not something a handful of guys do without anyone noticing. Also - to hide the switch from the actual crews would really be impossible. A large number of the crew on the titanic had served on the Olympia right before. Even if the ships were identical in detail (which they weren't), there would be 1000 little things that crew would notice who had just spent a year on Olympia. That scuff mark on the floor outside their cabin, that stairway door that was stickier than the rest, that little stain on the carpet, things like that. But Cosmoros' response reminds me of why it's not very fruitful to argue with a conspiracy theorist. They never concede a point, a successful argument against their position simply causes them to enlarge the conspiracy. |

Let us look at that. There are tons of things on a ship like that that tout the name of the ship. For instance, this ship's bell, recovered from the wreck. Menus, postcards, all sorts of things. To get all of those replaced would have been a herculean task. ![]() |

It would not be at all surprising to find items with the name Olympic on the Titanic and vice versa as this frequently happens with sister ships in both commercial service and the military as well. |

So you believe in the theory that someone was actually able to find the Titanic over 2 miles down? |
