Finally
As I've mentioned, D4 and I are planning our next trip to the West Coast. Current plans are arrive in Portland on Sunday, at around noon, and stay until Friday AM, leaving for Seattle. We'll have a 4 hour layover in Seattle, and then leave for Chicago at about 4 PM on Friday.

I was thinking, would it be better use of our time to leave Portland on Thursday morning and have a full 24 hours in Seattle? Our plans in Portland were to spend one day at the Pacific coast, hopefully with some whale watching, one day in the city itself, and a day at the Columbia River Gorge at the various waterfalls. That's three full days, but we have one day to spare.

Should we spend it in Seattle instead?

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

HOLY CARP!!!
Good question. I'd probably spread my time around more, though I'm not sure what I'd do in Seattle, since I don't know it so well and haven't researched it. IIRC, the downtown core is pretty walkable just like Portland, though perhaps just a slight bit more hilly. I'd probably take a ferry ride, because that is something you can't do in Portland.
