I kind of felt like we were hijacking Klaus's thread (which will provide at least a full year of entertainment here), so I started this.

Last summer in Boston we stayed in this former candy factory made into a Residence Inn. It was great. I recommend viewing the photos. They did a great job.

It's now the National Building Museum.

Interesting thing is that it was originally designed by Major General Montgomery Meigs who "despite his Georgia birth, Meigs disapproved strongly of secession, and his large-scale conversion of Robert E. Lee's Arlington estate into a military cemetery was partly a gesture to humiliate Lee for siding with the South." Which would I guess be another "re-purpose."

Anyway nice building.
