According to a new study, Americans vastly overestimate the number of homosexuals there are. http://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2015-05-22/americans-vastly-overestimate-size-of-lgbt-population The article says that most people think the homosexual population is roughly 23% of the population. I think I've even heard that number bandied about here by some. I also think I remember being ridiculed for saying the percentage was more like 3 or 4%, but according to this new study, that's exactly what the percentage is - roughly 4%. So we are being forced to destroy traditional values in order to appease 4% of the population. Let's put that into perspective: Studies of pedophila say that the percentage of the population who are pedophiles is roughly..... 4%. Ah, but some of you will say "no comparison, because there are no victims involved with homosexuality". To which I will reply "Bull shit". The latest little whine by a gay couple to make the news is a couple of lesbians who went to a jewelry store to have wedding rings made. The jewelry store happily made the rings for them, and the couple was so pleased with their service that they recommended them to their friends. Then, they discovered a sign in the jewelery store's window in support of "one man/one woman" traditional marriage, and now the lesbians are pissed off and want a refund, and the store boycotted. I'm over it. |

It's less than 1%. The 3%-4% includes a bunch of wanabees trying to impress their friends. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. This is a bit of an overstatement, don't you think? Firstly, "traditional" values are far from being destroyed, and secondly, what destruction has taken place is attributable to many different influences, including latter-day feminists (especially some woman academics) and metros of both genders, whose hearts quail at the very mention of the phrase "flyover country". And who is being forced? Isn't it more a case of letting it happen? (Notice how I applied your recent advice to your own post?)

It's about asking what is the benefit to the state? The benefits to the state of real marriage are obvious. Most media accounts seem like they are demanding that the state certify the ok-ness of this nonsense. I don't think there are any laws prohibiting these whiners from inventing and certifying any sort of union they like. Why in the world does the state get involved? Joe Biden thoughts on this matter, "It's all about who you love". Huh? Is the state in the business of defining love? Love has nothing to do with it. |

Define homosexual. The legal definition, not the Obama definition. |

No. In almost (if not all) states where it came up on a ballot, the people voted it down. Years of a screaming tiny minority harassing and intimidating the majority, coupled with a tenured teacher class hell bent on destroying everything this nation has stood for for the last several hundred years joining the cause, and an activist judicial system and biased media shoving it in our faces and through our laws regardless of what the people want, it has been forced on us. Any change you might see in public opinion making it look like it's being viewed more favorably now than it was when the "Big Agenda" began is due mostly to 1. people not wanting to have to deal with the personal attacks that will come attempting to paint them as homophobes, and 2. people who have just decided "f*ck it, I'm tired of fighting a system that has no respect for the will of the people and who will win anyway". The only way we're "letting it happen" is by sitting back and choosing one of the 2 reasons I gave above. As the public becomes desensitized to yet another erosion of society, the ideologically crippled (democrats/liberals) begin patting themselves on the back and gathering in groups to let others who suffer from their affliction smile and nod approvingly as they celebrate themselves for being so "progressive" and "liberal" and then say things like "why would anyone care? (if traditional values are destroyed)", their entire attitude being "look at me! I have gay friends!" Opposition, being either ridiculed until they give up, or worn out from fighting, slows to a trickle. Soon, another rung is added to the "gay ladder", more ground is given, etc. And as one brick after another gets chipped away from the moral foundation of our civilization, these "bricks" begin sharing agendas. Those who want God removed from society share values with those who want to kill unborn babies, with those who want to destroy the traditional family unit, with those who (add your own eroded moral value here) etc. So no, it's not an overstatement - it's an *understatement*. |

Back to the subject matter at hand, without going into support of one side or another, there is something wrong with repeatedly suing, losing, suing, losing, ad nauseum until the other side can no longer afford the process and has to quit. |
