HOLY CARP!!!
|
I was just watching a few clips of the "Wheel of impressions" and "Wheel of musical impressions" in the Jimmy Fallon talkshow. This made me wonder to which degree these things, and conversations with talk show guests in general, are pre-planned and scripted. Any insights? |

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead

I suspect they are fairly scripted, but not precisely. |

Cheers

Probably more planned than scripted. Agreement on what will be discussed, maybe jokes to be setup, etc. my guess, anyway. |

Producers always visit with the guests before the appearance. If the guest's stories aren't sufficiently good, the stories get punched up. The guest knows what they'll say before they hit the couch or chair, to a large degree. But there's always room for some improv, more so on some shows than others. Maher's show for instance, with its large panels, can't be scripted so much, other than the topics. |
| As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good? | |
