I like wood stoves. I can understand making them burn efficiently, but the government standards are starting to get a tad outrageous. For the most part, catalytic stoves don't burn as well at low temps and the catalyst sometimes needs replacing. I have spent less than $10 on my stove in over 30 years of use...The EPA ruling will cost owners more money up front and more money down the road... https://www.centralmaine.com/2015/02/04/epa-approves-new-woodstove-emissions-standards/ |
