2/2014: 74.3c/therm for gas, 14.3c/kWh for electricity

2/2015: 34.3c/therm for gas, 9.3c/kWh for electricity

So gas was over 2x as expensive last year, electricity 50% more, roughly.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Pull out the rates from this month and last year - let's see where the difference is.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
I need to do that too. I insulated the hell out of my attic in Dec 13 and my budget billing went UP!!!! Something is wrong.

You are probably helping with the cost of the Cape Wind windmills.

I believe the deal was they would ruin the Kennedys' view but it's not going to be cheap. They'll be recovering the huge cost of lobbying for those things for a long time.

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

No, it's the fact that gas is in short supply in Massachusetts.

As far as the Kennedy compound goes, IMHO they should tow it out and sink it.

Other than that, I'm all electric. This time of year the bill is usually under $100.

And all this because some nuclear power plant in Japan malfunctioned. German Angst at its best. We are crazy.

Do you still have the deal where you can install your own solar panels and get paid (2X? 4X?) the retail rate for the power you produce?

Oh yes. And they made contracts that guarantee these prices for 20 years. We will still pay for this madness in 2030.
