What the hell was up with the heroine chic? When was that ever attractive unless you were strung out yourself. Blech. Also, I think they over did the rounded curves on the early Hollywood era. |
| The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it. | |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy | |

I recall heroin chic being only popular with a few designers. It was never an "ideal", and the fad didn't last very long. And, yeah they over did the curves. A size 10 back then is not the same size 10 as now. I think I read somewhere that Marilyn Monroe was a size 12 or 14, and she looked much smaller than the woman on the video. |

Monroe had a 22 inch waist and weighed about 118 pounds for most of her career. The dress from The Seven Year Itch was a Size 2. http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2012/04/marilyn-monroe-was-not-even-close-to-a-size-12-16/ |
