You think he's going to hit it pretty hard with that yummy Armagnac?

Nooooo....this boy knows his limits with the spirits. I love them, but it is unrequited. A couple fingers a night is all I can do.

Welllll.....I just could not wait for after dinner. The reviews were not misleading at all. Complex, balanced, and an ever-changing flavor experience throughout the palate. The finish lasts forever.

Yum.

Excellent. I will tell hubby of this, or not, if I decide to make it a gift.

It's still great. Just poured a healthy snort.

You have booze that lasts for three months - bloody hell, that's what I call sophisticated.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

Oh, I don't drink a lot of straight stuff. I haven't gone through more than one fourth the bottle.

HOLY CARP!!!
Last time I tried Armagnac was quite a while back, and I thought it definitely inferior to Cognac. This thread and Mik's recommendation make me think I should give it another chance. Probably would pair well with game and strong cheese.
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!
