This is the newer Model S - More powerrrrrrr, and all wheel drive: 188 hp in the front motors and 470 in the rear. Oh, and it's kinda torquey - 864 lb-ft. So much torque that it spins its tires on the dynamometer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqFWvAplIKc#t=169 Also, Tesla vs Lambo Aventador https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e-jquwHKtI#t=40 |

HOLY CARP!!!

Invalid race with the Lambo; the Lambo didn't have its launch control activated. |

Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool. I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss! - Cecil Lewis | |

Me too. A guy a few doors down from me has one. A while back my next door neighbor posted on FB: "it must be Monday, I'm online configuring a Tesla again." |
| In my defense, I was left unsupervised. | |

Gorgeous car, great performance, and reasonable range. I know 3 guys that own them, and love them. Something goes wrong, or you need service? They'll come to your house and drop off a loaner. But, still too pricey for my tastes. The BASE is $71K or so. Also, I'd have to spend another $2K or so to get electricity to my parking spot in the garage downstairs. Rumor is that they're introducing a more reasonably priced model this year (or is it |
