HOLY CARP!!!

Yay, Gingrich's promise of $2.50/gallon gas and Bachmann's promise of $2/gallon gas are fulfilled! So ... do you plan on thanking Obama for this Christmas gift or are you saving this up so you can blame him later when some other less desirable side effects of this "Economic war on Russian" hit the news?

I got gas for $0.93/litre the other day. No clue what that equates to in gallons but it's cheaper than gas has been since I was a kid. |

My calculation, which could be wrong says that is $3.52 per gallon. Sh*t, no wonder so many people go over the border for gas. |

make sure your calculation takes into account US gallons which are smaller than the Imperial gallons used in Canada and other Commonwealth nations. |

Mik is paying $0.43/litre! I remember when I was taking drivers ed in 2006 the instructor paused one of the videos, which had been made in the mid 90's to point out a gas station sign for $0.53. Gas was already well over a dollar at this point. I don't think it's been under a dollar in probably 10 years. And in 2014 Mik is paying less than we were 20 years ago!

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Ask Ayn Rand. But you probably ought to consider the time and money I put into people other than myself. |

Actually, I picked my profession for security and the ability to work close to home. I picked my employer for the benefits. Yes, luck plays a part, but everybody needs to make smart choices. |

I know you do a lot of charity and philanthropic work, Mik. We've discussed it a couple of times. But in the context of this discussion about health care, "works for me" doesn't really do much for anyone. |

When I was first old enough to drive a car we had gas stations called Gas-a-mat whose pumps took quarters. One gallon for each quarter. |

"Any man who would make an X rated movie should be forced to take his daughter to see it". - John Wayne There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it". Henry II: I marvel at you after all these years. Still like a democratic drawbridge: going down for everybody. Eleanor: At my age there's not much traffic anymore. From The Lion in Winter.
