Shouldn't that be "The road to hell is paved adverbially"?

ZOOOOOM!
Ayep, I know where the quotation comes from, too. :thumb:

The road to Hell is paved with adverbs, but you know what you'll find holding up Purgatory's Terraces of the Mediocre? Adjectives.

Verbs are the most potent words, followed by nouns. You don't create a vivid setting or stunning metaphor by giving weaksauce nouns and verbs a shiny veneer. Nouns and verbs are the main supports holding the thing up, so you need to make them count.

Adjectives are okay so long as they augment a noun, not do its heavy lifting.
I cite irreconcilable differences.
