HOLY CARP!!!
My dryer has been having issues lately. It will run for 5 mins then turn off for 20-30. It also seems to sound a little different but that could be my imagination. I've cleaned the filters which hasn't helped. Maybe it's from not cleaning the filter often enough in the past.

It is under a year old so I'll call the manufacturer(Sonya) on Monday to inquire about the 1yr warranty but just wondered if the collective minds of TNCR had any thoughts.

Sounds like it's overheating. I'd pull the unit away from the wall and check to make sure the vent to outside is not blocked.

Usually they are full of lint but I have also seen mouse nests and bird nests in the ductwork. The other thing that happens is that the little flapper door on the outside gets stuck.

Yes, check the exhaust vent hose.

Also find a utube video that shows how to take it all apart. Open it up and you might be surprised to see how simple it is. You will probably find lint and dust everywhere - give it a good cleaning, that could help with overheating. By taking it apart and putting it back together you might also fix a loose connection.

Also check the switch on the door. It could have just a slight crack that causes a bad connection and that could cause an intermittent on/off problem. The switch might also just be loose. You can probably find a new door switch on the web.

I fixed both of those problems for just a few dollars.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

It doesn't vent to outside it vents into a vent kit. It's just a small 110v apartment dryer.

It still could be all clogged up with lint in the hose and maybe up inside too.

Is the hose the aluminum snakey thing? I took that off and it's clean. I didn't see anything up in the plastic thing the aluminum thing was attached to but I couldn't see all the way in. The dryer is wall mounted and would probably need to come down to get into the back.

Can you tell I don't know much about this stuff? :lol2:

I agree with Steve. It's overheating. There's a thermoprotection switch that is kicking in to cut off the dryer when it overheats. Once the switch senses a cool down, it turns off and the dryer will run again. Good thing too. If it didn't, there's a good possibility that the dryer could catch fire. That would certainly screw up your day.
