HOLY CARP!!!
A friend from work texted me to ask if I had any extra ...oregano I could sell him. As I had a fair amount of ...oregano in my ...kitchen cupboard I agreed.

I told him I was waiting to hear from a friend I was supposed to be hanging out with but if I didn't hear from them by the time I finished showering I would come. So about 20 mins later I texted him saying I was just leaving. No response. Then about 15 minutes later sent another text asking for his address as I couldn't remember exactly which block/house it was as I've only been there once. No response. So I went into the supermarket near where he lives to wait. Nearly half an hour and still no response. So I went to the block I was pretty sure was the right one and knocked. One of his room mates(student house) answered and said he's not home. Literally 3 seconds later he texted me back and said "oh man I'm so sorry I went to get some ...oregano up at X and Y's place."

How hard would a quick "hey never mind I'm getting some from X and Y" message have been?

Well, you don't want to be a seller anyway.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

I'm not. I was trying to do someone a favour.

I'm not really mad as I wasn't doing anything anyway, but still annoying.

Actually, one time, another friend of mine was selling ...oregano, and asked me to take an ounce of ...oregano and sell it off to friends. As it was hard to say no to someone holding out an ounce of ...oregano and saying "pay me for it later", I took it. I think I may have made some half-assed attempts to sell some, but I ended up just ...cooking with it all myself.

So I wouldn't make a good salesman of herbs and spices anyway.

Rude friend
He offered to buy me a couple beers so all is forgiven. Buying someone a beer seems to solve most problems. I wonder if the world leaders have ever thought of trying that.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Nonetheless, take the lesson to heart. Don't pursue people to do favors for them. If they don't have the courtesy to participate in the favor they asked of you, shine 'em on.

HOLY CARP!!!
I wonder how reliable oregano purchasers are.
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!
