Mik's post of the "corn dealies" reminded me of this tool that was a favorite of my grandmother, because she had false teeth.![]() CORN SCORER It slits the kernels of the sweet corn on the cob so the insides of the kernets squirt out when you bite the ear while the hulls generally remain attached to the cob. It saves getting the hulls lodged underneath the false teeth. The thing that my grandmother most disliked about false teeth was how berry seeds would lodge under them. I think strawberries were tolerable because the seeds were pretty small, but raspberries were a real problem. Big Al |
