Spent a couple of hours with the good doctor over lunch today - I've been working in Chicago this week, and he was good enough to drive over for some scram.

Good conversation and food was shared, and I'm proud to say that we both remained alcoholically abstemious (try saying that after a few drinks) for the duration.

It was funny how easy he was to talk to - I've known him for pretty much 8 years, and this was the first time we've ever met. I do however wish someone had told me about the wooden leg beforehand.

I have a photo to prove we both exist, although currently no way to link to it.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

You could just post yours, Vince.

Well, possibly a little about the various characters inhabiting this place, but we also talked about whisky and jazz.

That reminds me of a Far Side cartoon I once saw with two old salts sitting at a bar. One had a prosthetic leg. The other, a prosthetic head.

Can't speak for the other one, but the one with the beard wishes he had Fifty Strands of Grey left.

That's a cute skirt.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

Hi, Mr. Bond! Tell your bearded friend he is greatly missed here. Also, that is a great pic and I'll bet it was a fun time for both!
And how are you today?
