Well, I think the optics of enough GOPs to make a majority with all the Dems would make it impossible for Boehner to sustain. So if it gets there or is obviously heading there, I think he'll cave. (its worth pointing out that a vote on a clean CR would always have passed the house, but when it is manifestly the case, based on public statements of Reps, he won't be able to hold out) That's my read anyway. |
